Easter In Bendigo Day 1

We went away for Easter last year so decided this year to hang about town. Bendigo has a large Easter festival starting with a family fun day at Lake Weroona, which is where we spent today. We had a lovely time, kids all had a go at the Vision Australia Easter Egg hunt, they all came away with some impressive booty bags.

We decided to forgo the expensive food van lunches and actually ate at the restaurant that is situated at the lake, much nicer and not that much more moneywise. Finally Sam and Audrey wanted to have their faces painted (Ethan very definitely did not) and Phil wanted a spray on tattoo.
It was a fun way to spend the day and the kids are pooped no mucking about at bedtime tonight, must try that more often.

3 more days of the festival to go, giant puppets on the schedule for tomorrow, fireworks on Sunday and the parade in the best company of Narelle and family. More photos to come.
